AGM and Exploring the archaeology of an East Sussex Icon

The Bodiam100 project aimed to explore the buried archaeology of the property, as part of the commemorations of the 100^th anniversary of the National Trust’s ownership of the castle and parkland in 2026. The 14^th century castle, much debated and discussed over decades of research, forms the central focus of the site, but the wider landscape had been less well explored. This talk will present the results of three seasons of excavations undertaken across the site by the National Trust, working in partnership with Archaeology South-East and the Institute of Archaeology, London.
