Following a discussion at the Institute’s December 2024 Council meeting, our President wrote on behalf of the Institute to Lisa Nandy, the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, to express our concerns that the Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme, which gives grants that cover the VAT incurred in making repairs to listed buildings in use as places of worship, is due to expire in March 2025. This scheme provides vital support to communities and organisations to repair and conserve historic places of worship. We encourage members to contact their MP to comment.
